About SLS

Students Leading Students is a student-run organization. A board

is elected to lead the group, and Mr. Bartlett and Mr. Coates are

our co-advisors.

Originally, the SLS chapter was involved with only four students

meeting twice monthly to discuss drunk driving. Since then, the

chapter has expanded greatly. Not only has it adopted new

missions in helping students, but it has expanded its membership

from four students to forty, and its meetings now take place once

per week.

SLS aims to teach how positive peer influence, role models, and

other strategies can help students improve their lives. SLS is a

peer leadership organization dedicated to preventing destructive

decisions and negative influence, particularly underage drinking,

drug use, impaired/distracted driving, teen violence, depression, and suicide.
